Abstract
This research aims to stimulate the mathematical connection abilities of students in the Chemistry Education Study Program through the application of the connected model in the Chemistry Mathematics course. The subjects in this research were 32 students participating in the Mathematics and Chemistry course in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Students' mathematical connection abilities are analyzed from test results on the topic of Algebraic and Transcendental Functions and their application in chemical calculations. The results of the research show that the application of the connected model in learning Mathematics and Chemistry is not optimal in stimulating students' mathematical connection abilities on several indicators. The achievement categories for each indicator are: a) Knowing the equivalent representation of a concept (medium), b) Looking for relationships from various representations concepts (medium), c) Understanding connections between topics in mathematics (medium), d) Applying mathematics in other fields (medium), e) Looking for relationships between one procedure and another procedure in the same representation (low), f) Applying relationships between mathematics topics and between mathematics topics and other fields (low).
