PENGARUH KONSENTRASI DAN INTERVAL WAKTU APLIKASI PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR PAITAN (Tithonia diversifolia) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL KEDELAI

Abstract

Soybeans are widely cultivated in Indonesia. Soybean nuts can be used as food or feed
because they have a high protein content. The research aims to determine the interaction between
the concentration and application time interval of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) extracted from
Paitan plants on the growth and yield of soybeans. The research was carried out in the Agronomy
Experimental Station of the Agricultural Faculty, Bengkulu University, located in Kandang
Limun District, from August to November 2023. The experiment was arranged in a completely
randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the concentration
of LOF, which consists of P0 (0%), P1 (25%), P2 (50%), and P3 (75%), and the second factor is
the application time interval of LOF, namely W1 (5 days), W2 (10 days), and W3 (15 days). The
observation data was statistically analyzed with ANOVA at 5% and further tested with the
Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5%. The results showed no interaction between the
concentration and application time interval of LOF on the growth and yield of soybeans. The
concentration of LOF showed a significant influence on the greenness level of the leaf, while the
application time intervals of LOF had a significant effect on the number of productive branches.
The best growth and yield of soybeans were observed at LOF 50% with a 5-day application time
interval.
